When Women Gather, Something Magical Happens!!!

There is something sacred—almost indescribable—that unfolds when women gather in person, especially on my international and domestic creative retreats. Away from the noise of daily responsibilities, away from the endless lists and the constant pull of obligation, a space opens. It is a space for self-care, for deep breath, for rediscovery. Have you ever experienced this before? Oh friend, I want you to!

AI may be powerful and helpful, but it will NEVER EVER replace the beauty of women connecting face to face. It cannot replicate the way a shared laugh fills a room, the way a spontaneous hug warms the soul, or the way stories intertwine over a shared meal. On my retreats, women arrive as strangers and leave as sisters, bonded by creativity, laughter, and shared experience. These friendships last long after the suitcases are unpacked. I've had corporate executives, stay at home mamas, young single women and grandmothers attend my retreats…even my own mom too! The span of ages and stages is incredibly special.

On my creative retreats, I have the privilege of witnessing this magic again and again. Women arrive carrying the weight of work, family, and the world’s expectations. But as they step into beauty—into nature, into creativity, into community—something shifts.They find themselves not only exploring a new part of the world, but also exploring a new part of themselves. It's hard for me to explain this without tears…seriously, it's so special!.

When women give themselves permission to create without judgment or perfection, something childlike awakens. We paint, collage, and play with mixed media in ways they we done since they were little girls. We laugh at happy accidents, delight in new techniques, and discover joy in capturing the ordinary beauty around us. Our sketchbooks fill with curiosity, our cameras capture new perspectives, and our hearts expand with wonder.
